Soldiers Story

Tuesday, March 11th, 2008

I just finished up ‘America’s Got Talent’ in Dallas and while going through security at the airport with my father and friends, we had the pleasure of running into the real stars of America, our brave young men & women of the Armed Forces. Wow! Talk about a dose of reality. It was such a pleasure to take photos and to talk to these fine young patriots who were returning from leave with their families and friends and heading back to Iraq and Afghanistan to defend our country. They showed a lot of emotion and shared stories about Iraq with us. Most of the stories were positive in nature about our efforts in Iraq and it was good to hear that these soldiers were indeed making a difference. After getting their email addresses and my promise to send photos and autographs, we wished them good luck and god speed. I realized quickly how blessed we were.

Off to Atlanta to begin filming the new season of America’s Got Talent. It’s gonna be great… I love the show… It is so cool to see so many amazing people pursue their dreams. Of course, not everyone is that good. But God bless them, they try!!!

It will be great to hang out with Sharon and Piers again. It is a lot of fun behind the scenes and we have a great time on the road. We usually spend three nights in each place and then come back to LA for a few days before heading off to the new destination.

It is so great to meet so many fans as I travel round the country. I am amazed by how many different generations love my work. A lady of 83 came up to me and told me she had a crush on me back in my Young and the Restless days!!! I promised to say hi to Thelma of Atlanta on my blog, so ”Hi Thelma”…loved the t-shirt…thanks…

Anyway I will have all the behind the scenes gossip soon! David

Wow… I am blown away by the response to Knight Rider. Thanks for all your amazing messages of support. I hope I do keep a role in the upcoming show… It was one of my all time favorite parts and it’s great to get back into Michael’s shoes again…

So not many people liked the new car. I loved it. I got to drive it and I loved it. On the original show we got through 27 versions of the Trans Am, though we kept one especially for close up and interior shots. The stunts were quite tough and the car did not always come out in great form. They are being a lot more careful in the new show.

Well… lets hope Knight Rider is going to be back on our screens soon. David
